We have added a new addition to our pet family. Her name is Gracie Mae.

No doubt about it, we love Florida's state parks! This is the time of year we enjoy taking drive trips and photographing their beauty. One of our all-time favorites is Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, located in Palm Coast Florida. One of the unique things about this park is that it offers two different kinds of scenery: Both a beach side and a gardens side. You literally get the best of both worlds here.
The formal garden side has beautiful pathways, moss covered oak trees, a gazebo and a stunning rose garden. It's such a serene walk that you may actually forget where you are for awhile. Below are some photos from this side of the park:
On the other side of the park is the beach side, complete with coquina rocks, which is an unusual site to see on Florida beaches. It's a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy nature. Below are some photos from this side of the park:
We highly recommend a visit to this beautiful spot if you are ever in the area!
Last weekend we took a trip over to Maggie's Cool Stuff in Casselberry Florida. What a fun store, run by some wonderful people who clearly love their job :) They had gorgeous vintage items set up in beautiful displays, along with great signs with facts/figures about the items they had for sale. It was great to see so many memories in one place! From kitchen items, jewelry & clothing all the way to vintage tools and old maps....this place has it all. It is by far one of the best vintage stores I've visited in the past two years and I highly recommend a stop if you are ever in the area.
One of the things I really enjoyed were all the vintage cameras they had displayed throughout the store. They were kind enough to let me walk around and photograph them. Here are a few examples:

I am happy to post that three of my black & white pieces are currently being displayed at the Sanford Welcome Center as part of the Sanford Art Walk showing. Last night was the reception & it was a lot of fun. There were some beautiful pieces shown!
My husband & I made a date night of the evening by going to the reception and then dining at The Original Christos restaurant. It was delicious! We highly recommend it if you are ever visiting downtown Sanford Florida.
If you live in Central Florida and have a chance to visit Sanford in the next month, stop by the welcome center & check it out. Sanford is a beautiful historic city!
